'><\/div><div class=\"flex_column av_three_fifth  flex_column_div av-zero-column-padding   avia-builder-el-15  el_after_av_one_fifth  el_before_av_one_fifth  \" style='border-radius:0px; '><section class=\"av_textblock_section \"  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock  '   itemprop=\"text\" ><h4>Who is entitled to free NHS dental treatment?<\/h4>\n<p>You do not have to pay for NHS dental treatment if, when your treatment starts, you are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>under 18<\/li>\n<li>under 19 and in full-time education<\/li>\n<li>pregnant or you&#8217;ve had a baby in the 12 months before treatment starts<\/li>\n<li>staying in an NHS hospital and the hospital dentist carries out your treatment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can also get free NHS dental treatment if, when the treatment starts or when you&#8217;re asked to pay:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>you&#8217;re included in an award of Income Support, income-based Jobseeker&#8217;s Allowance, income-related Employment and Support Allowance or Pension Credit guarantee credit<\/li>\n<li>you&#8217;re named on, or entitled to, a valid NHS tax credit exemption certificate<\/li>\n<li>you&#8217;re named on a valid HC2 certificate<\/li>\n<li>If you&#8217;re named on a valid HC3 certificate, you may not have to pay for all your NHS dental treatment. HC2 and HC3 certificates are issued under the NHS Low Income Scheme &#8211; see below<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>You will not be exempt<\/strong> from paying for NHS dental treatment because you receive one of the benefits below when paid on their own*:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Incapacity Benefit<\/li>\n<li>Contribution-based Jobseeker&#8217;s Allowance<\/li>\n<li>Contribution-based Employment and Support Allowance<\/li>\n<li>Disability Living Allowance<\/li>\n<li>Council Tax Benefit<\/li>\n<li>Housing Benefit<\/li>\n<li>Pension Credit savings credit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>*if unsure please contact the Department of Work and Pensions<\/p>\n<h4>Proof of your entitlement<\/h4>\n<p>You&#8217;ll be asked to show your dentist written proof that you&#8217;re entitled to help with dental treatment costs. Covers an examination, diagnosis and advice. If necessary, it also includes X-rays, a scale and polish, and planning for further treatment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Band 2:<\/strong> <strong>\u00a373.50<\/strong>. Covers all treatment included in Band 1, plus additional treatment, such as fillings, root canal treatment and removing teeth (extractions).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Band 3<\/strong>: <strong>\u00a3319.10<\/strong>.
