With National Apprenticeship Week taking place from 5th to 11th February 2024, we caught up with several apprentices across the group to find out more about what undertaking an apprenticeship means to them, and why they chose Riverdale Healthcare to start their journey with!
Why did you choose to become an Apprentice?
Ever since I was a young age I have had a keen interest in dental care so it seemed like a natural step to start my career in the industry. I like the fact that no two days are the same, and that I am always learning something new everyday.
What is the best part about the role?
For me, it is how much support I receive, from learning the basics when I first started to the present day; I wasn’t rushed into undertaking tasks that I wasn’t comfortable with and everything was explained thoroughly to aid my learning.
Why did you choose Riverdale Healthcare?
It was down to their ethos and the working environment they create for their teams. We have an excellent team at Village that work together to make the practice run smoothly – no one is ever alone!
Why did you choose to become an Apprentice?
I have always been interested in dentistry since I was a child. An apprenticeship seemed ideal as I like to have hands-on experience and it allows me to learn and earn at the same time.
What is the best part about the role?
The fact that everyone is so nice and helpful. The staff at the practice were welcoming towards me and are so friendly – it is very pleasant to work as part of such a nice team.
Why did you choose Riverdale Healthcare?
It was a chance to work for a well known dental group in the area, where I have the opportunity to work in multiple practices across the group and learn from a large pool of talented dentists.
