Practice Manager – Ashgate Dental Practice

We are hiring a Practice Manager to work at our Ashgate Dental Practice, with at least one years experience in a similar role.

Ashgate Dental Practice has 5 surgeries, our team comprises exceptionally skilled and dedicated professionals who are passionately devoted to delivering outstanding dental care. With their extensive expertise across diverse dental specialities, they are driven to ensure optimal comfort and utmost satisfaction for every patient. Our friendly and compassionate approach cultivates a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The current team is established, supportive and is welcoming of a new Practice Manager.

About the role

Job description:

  • To be responsible for the overseeing of the day to day running of the practice
  • Expectation to be the CQC registered manager
  • Reliable and trustworthy
  • To have initiative and be self-motivated
  • Be approachable at all times
  • Representative of the practice
  • Be able to work to deadlines
  • Provide support and training to other staff when required
  • Encourage, motivate and support staff
  • Create a friendly and professional working environment
  • Ensure that all inductions and training are up to date
  • Ensure that dentists and support staff personal folders are up to date with their current certification
  • Deal with disciplinary and grievance procedures
  • Keep and monitor staff records particularly with regard to sickness absence and annual leave
  • Running a Rota system
  • Hold regular practice meetings
  • Ensure practice administration is completed punctually and accurately
  • Ensure the completion of clinical data sheets in accordance with H&S and CQC
  • Submit wage and overtime data on the timescale given
  • Responsible for Practice Diary / Daily Housekeeping of appointment book
  • Financial responsibility including daily and weekly cashing up and banking
  • Recovery of bad debts
  • Collating invoice information
  • Collating information for Monthly schedule deductions
  • To follow the complaints procedure and acknowledge in the timescale stated
  • Deal with patient queries which cannot be dealt with by other team members following advice from central support office if required.
