Role Summary:

As a seasoned operational leader, you will spearhead, motivate, and empower Practice Managers and Clinical teams across your designated area, equipping them with the resources and guidance needed for success. Your role encompasses driving performance excellence, both financially and in terms of CQC compliance, while fostering alignment with Riverdale’s overarching vision and values. Your responsibilities include facilitating seamless collaboration between support teams and practices, nurturing team engagement, and fostering a positive organizational culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee full P&L accountability, strategically balancing revenue generation and cost management to achieve financial targets.
  • Formulate growth strategies and initiatives by leveraging data analysis to identify and capitalize on commercial opportunities within each practice.
  • Promptly address performance gaps, implementing effective solutions to drive improvement.
  • Collaborate with clinical and recruitment teams to ensure timely fulfillment of Associate vacancies.
  • Foster strong partnerships with internal departments to support operational KPI achievement across practices.
  • Provide proactive leadership, training, and guidance to teams, addressing underperformance promptly and effectively.
  • Conduct regular performance assessments and support the professional development of practice managers.
  • Work with Clinical teams to enhance engagement and drive growth.
  • Partner with the People & Culture team to uphold integrity, manage employee relations, and cultivate a supportive work environment.
  • Ensure thorough induction and probation management for practice support staff.
  • Maintain Health & Safety compliance and manage incidents with support from the compliance team.
  • Act as a CQC Registered secondary Manager for the area, striving for “Good” or above ratings for all practices.
  • Continuously improve quality indicators and CQC compliance across practices, conducting regular inspections and audits.
  • Address patient complaints promptly, implementing necessary changes and fostering a culture of learning.

To be successful:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing remote teams, preferably in Dentistry or Healthcare.
  • Confidence in P&L management (training provided if needed).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, including interaction with senior leadership.
  • A passion for people development and commitment to excellence.
  • Deep understanding of quality improvement and clinical governance principles.
  • Familiarity with dentistry systems (SOE/SFD).
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent work experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and flexibility for out-of-hours meetings
